Geography: Fort Collins is 64.9 miles North of Denver, Colorado and about 40 miles South of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Fort Collins has over 40 parks, 56 public and private tennis courts, six golf courses, 16 baseball diamonds/football fields and several city and neighborhood pools. You can find boating at three area lakes, including Horsetooth State Park; situated on one of the state’s largest reservoirs.

You can find an array of white water rafting options, and take a guided rafting ride down the Poudre River. Hike or bike one of the many trails, picnic or camp at a nearby campsite or at Horsetooth Reservoir. Fort Collins is just a few hours’ drive from some of the best ski areas in the country! In a quick three hour trek you can reach Loveland Ski Resort, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail and Steamboat Springs.

In Denver, about an hour from Fort Collins, the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Rapids Women play their home games.

Denver International Airport; the largest airport in the nation, is just an hour’s drive from Fort Collins. A quick drive up I-25 which connects to E-470 allows you a convenient and seamless trip to the fifth busiest airport in the U.S.


Fort Collins has state of the art health facilities available to residents, University of Colorado Health (UC Health) serves Northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. These facilities have engrossed some of the nation’s finest physicians in most specialties.
